What is Folic Acid? |
A B vitamin found in foods like beans, lentils, citrus fruits, and leafy greens. Helps produce/maintain cells and prevent DNA changes that may lead to cancer. Medical uses: Treats folic acid deficiency and related anemias. Used with other meds for pernicious anemia (but doesn't treat B12 deficiency). |
